When Wembley Primary School decided to upgrade from its original building to a dynamic, two-story learning hub, VE Furniture was there to bring the vision to life! From flexible classrooms to cosy resource nooks, we helped create spaces that spark creativity and make every day a little brighter for students and staff alike.

Details

Wembley Primary School sought to revamp its educational environment to support modern learning needs, prompting a significant redevelopment project through the VSBA. The school transitioned from an older single-story facility to a two-story building featuring a wide range of innovative spaces designed to foster an inclusive, flexible and collaborative atmosphere.

VE Furniture played an integral role in the project, contributing customised and functional furniture solutions tailored to the school’s vision.

The redevelopment encompassed both structural and functional upgrades. The new two-story building includes a spacious foyer, administrative areas, classrooms and meeting rooms. Each space was crafted with a focus on flexibility and accessibility, accommodating a diverse range of activities and ensuring an inclusive environment for all students and staff.

VE Furniture’s collaboration extended beyond typical product provision. In April 2024, VE Furniture’s team engaged in discussions with school leaders, including Principal Vassie Vatsilas-D’Arcangelo, Assistant Principal Katie McClue and Facilities Manager Grant Hobson. Principal Vassilas-D’Arcangelo, inspired by a recent VE Furniture project at Footscray City Primary, expressed interest in a comprehensive furniture concept for Wembley Primary School.

VE Furniture’s team collaborated closely with Assistant Principal McClue, who led the fine-tuning process to ensure furniture selections aligned with the school’s practical and aesthetic preferences. Together, they curated a collection that featured flexible, durable and modern furniture pieces.
