Challenge
Woodford International School, an independent K-12 school, is renowned for fostering academic and personal growth through a rich and engaging learning environment.
When the time came to upgrade furniture across 30+ classrooms, the library and staff spaces, WIS faced a common challenge—so many choices, but no clear starting point. The school needed furniture that would not only accommodate students of all ages but also create a flexible, comfortable learning atmosphere. Seeking guidance, WIS turned to VE Furniture to bring their vision to life.
Approach
With a student body ranging from tiny Preschool learners to Year 12 students preparing for their next chapter, the key to success was versatility. VE Furniture recommended height-adjustable desks, flexible seating and soft furnishings to create inviting, adaptable spaces for every age and stage of learning.
Working closely with the school, we developed a wish list that ticked all the boxes—comfort, function and a future-proof design. While funding approvals took longer than expected, persistence paid off and in early 2025, the transformation was set in motion.

Classrooms: A mix of seating options including active sway stools, lilypad floor cushions, Rondo ottomans and soft beanbags, paired with height-adjustable student tables and activity stations for hands-on learning.
Staff Spaces: Planke desks, intensive learning arc tables and Tidus podiums, ensuring teachers have practical and flexible workspaces.
Library: A standout feature of the fitout, designed for both group and independent learning. The Habitat Horseshoe lounge brings students together, the Inform booth supports focused study and Elements Tor ottomans offer a relaxed space to unwind with a good book.
